November 13, 2009

Piedmont Parent Magazine Night at THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE.  Piedmont Parent readers are invited to bring a can of food donation in exchange for a free ticket for the Friday, November 13 performance of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE at 7 pm.  Doors open at Taylor Theatre lobby at 6 pm to accept food donation items for tickets.  Subject to availablity.

November 14, 2009

Super Saturday.  Taylor Theatre, Brown Building, McIver Building, UNCG Campus. 8:30 am-4:00 pm.  Designed for area high school sophomores, juniors, seniors interested in theatre.  Students participate in school/campus tours and workshops in a variety of theatrical topics: acting, improv, auditions, dialects, scene work, puppetry, make-up design, millinery, set tour, modelmaking, lighting design, costume design, stage combat, etc. Students are welcome to eat lunch on Tate Street on their own and then attend a special 2 pm performance of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE followed by a talk back with the play's director, design team, and actors.

Tea and Turkish Delight.  Virginia Dare Room, Alumni House, Campus of UNCG. 3:30- 5 pm.

UNCG Theatre Angels and their guests are invited to attend a special "afternoon tea" with costumed members of the cast of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE.  Cost is $10 per guest and

invitations will be sent one month prior to the event date.

UNCG Theatre Angels Dinner.  Virginia Dare Room, Alumni House, Campus of UNCG.  5-6:45 pm.  UNCG Theatre Angels and their guests are invited to a special Angels dinner prior to the opening 7 pm performance of THE SEAGULL in Taylor Theatre.  Director John Gulley will speak about the play and production process.  Dinner is $28 and may be purchased/arranged through Jody Cauthen at 336-334-4601 or jody_cauthen@uncg.edu .
