John Wolf

John (Lighting Designer, Production Manager) A member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, joined the faculty of UNCG in 1992. He received his B.S.
from Lindenwood College and his MFA in Design from the University of Alabama. At UNCG, he has designed lighting for STREET SCENE, DON GIOVANNI, GIANNI SCHICCHI, SUOR ANGELICA, and LA BOHEME. TOMMY, HAIR, THE THREE SISTERS, INTO THE WOODS, AS
YOU LIKE IT, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW.
John is a regular designer at Triad Stage. His work includes THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, BROTHER WOLF, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, DRIVING MISS DAISY, OUR TOWN, DRACULA, DEBUNKED, THE RAINMAKER, CRUMBS FROM THE TABLE OF JOY, THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, OUR TOWN, ANGEL STREET and DEBUNKED.
He served as lighting designer for Dance Alive Ballet in Florida, where his work was seen in SWAN LAKE, DRACULA, and THE NUTCRACKER and at the Teatro
National in Costa Rica. Regional designs work includes Mill Mountain Playhouse, including productions of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING...MEDICINE MAN!
A CHRISTMAS CUP, TOMMY, THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, and CRAZY FOR YOU and the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, John's lighting designs have been featured in ROMEO AND JULIET, THE TEMPEST and A CHRISTMAS
CAROL.
John was chairman of the Design Competition and VIce President of SouthEastern Theatre Conference (SETC) and is currently a board member for KC/ACTF Region IV and the Stillwater Theatre in Raleigh.
John and his wife Jean have two sons and a daughter. John enjoys playing golf, coaching baseball, and is a staunch supporter of the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
