Rachel Briley

Rachel Briley is in her eighth year at UNCG where she heads the North Carolina Theatre for Young People and the MFA program in Theatre for Youth. She has previously taught at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI and Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. Rachel is a Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts teaching artist. She has conducted professional development workshops for in-service educators and residencies for children across the United States. She served on the board of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education for four years. At UNCG, Rachel has directed A Village Fable, In the Garden of the Selfish Giant, and Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse.
