2008 Spring Tri-IT Meeting

Traveling East on I-40 (From Winston-Salem, Hickory, Asheville, etc.)

Take Exit 216 (Patterson Street). You will exit from the right lane
Travel 1.6 miles to Holden Road and turn left
Travel .4 mile to Spring Garden Street and turn right

Walker Ave. Parking Deck
On Spring Garden St., travel 2 miles to Stirling St. and turn left.
A parking deck will be on your left across the street from the Elliott University Center.
You'll get a stamped ticket when you enter and you pay the cashier as you are leaving.

Petty Science Building
From the Walker Ave. Parking Deck, walk directly across the street to the Elliott University Center (EUC).
Pass straight through and take the stairs to the lower level. Exit the rear of the EUC through the doors.
Follow the sidewalk to College Avenue. Make a left on College Avenue. The Petty Science Building will be on your right after the Stone Building and across from the student cafeteria.

Traveling West on I-40 or South on I-85 (From Durham, Raleigh and points East)

Approaching Greensboro, I-85 and I-40 Split.
Follow I-40
Take Exit 218B (Freeman Mill Road)
Merge left quickly
Travel 0.4 miles to the 1st stoplight (Coliseum Blvd, which exits to the left)
Turn left on Coliseum Blvd
Travel 1.4 miles to the 2nd stoplight (Lee Street)
Turn right on Lee Street
Travel 0.4 miles to the 1st stoplight (S. Aycock Street)
Turn left on S. Aycock Street
Travel 0.1 mile to the 1st stoplight (Spring Garden St.)
Turn right on Spring Garden St.

Walker Ave. Parking Deck
On Spring Garden St., travel one and a half blocks to Stirling St. and turn left.
A parking deck will be on your left across the street from the Elliott University Center.
You'll get a stamped ticket when you enter and you pay the cashier as you are leaving.

Petty Science Building
From the Walker Ave. Parking Deck, walk directly across the street to the Elliott University Center (EUC).
Pass straight through and take the stairs to the lower level. Exit the rear of the EUC through the doors.
Follow the sidewalk to College Avenue. Make a left on College Avenue. The Petty Science Building will be on your right after the Stone Building and across from the student cafeteria.

Traveling North on I-85 (From Lexington, Salisbury, Charlotte, etc.)

Take the Lee St. exit (you will pass the Elm St. and Randleman Rd exits)
At the top of the ramp, turn left
Travel 4 miles to Tate St.
Turn right on Tate St.
Turn left at the first stop light (Spring Garden St.)

On Spring Garden St., travel 3 blocks to Stirling St. and turn right.
A parking deck will be on your left across the street from the Elliott University Center.
You'll get a stamped ticket when you enter and you pay the cashier as you are leaving.

Traveling South on US 220 (From Lynchburg, Roanoke, etc.)

From the Greensboro city limits, travel 3.6 miles into the city
Stay in the right lane
US220 forks to the left, and Westover Terrace continues straight
Take Westover Terrace for 2.1 miles. (Along the way the name changes to Aycock Street.)
At Spring Garden St., turn left.
