Development for Faculty
Professional development for faculty members is the responsibility of each individual faculty member. However, faculty development is valued and supported by the university through the Teaching and Learning Center. Units, departments, programs, and other entities of the university also provide faculty development opportunities in teaching, research or creative activities, and service. Support for professional travel is available through the department budget. Some units offer professional travel supplements, especially for non-tenured faculty, and the Provost’s Office offers some supplements. International professional travel can be partially supported and assisted by the International Programs Office. The web sites below provide further information and assistance.
