Faculty

Searches and Hiring

Faculty and certain administrators exempt from the state personnel act. The first step in authorizing a search for a new EPA faculty member is to secure authority for the search from the Provost through the Dean of the unit. Add text on AA forms and procedures, search process. After hiring new EPA faculty, complete a PD7 form to add the new faculty member to the payroll system. Additionally, all new personnel (EPA, SPA, students, temps) are required to go to the Office of Human Resource Services (students go to the Student Employment Office) within the first three days of employment to complete identity verification and employment eligibility forms (Human Resource Form I-9). EPA employees must also submit to the Office of the Provost, via the department chair and dean, official transcripts of all graduate work completed. Failure to verify credentials with the Office of the Provost within 90 days of the initial employment date will result in withholding of pay until credentials are submitted.
