Faculty (EPA)

Faculty

Promotion and Tenure

Procedures for promotion, tenure, and reappointment typically begin well in advance of the actual due date for the review, and involve discussions with the department chair. The chair provides guidance with respect to timelines for the review and also may help candidates develop a plan for preparing effective review materials. The chair is responsible for managing the review process at the department level and for informing the tenured faculty as to where and when candidate materials can be reviewed. The chair presents a verbal summary of the candidate’s case prior to faculty discussion and voting at the department and school levels.
