The Faculty Multimedia Development Laboratory provides the opportunity for faculty to develop instructional materials and Web-based resources, experiment with new software and hardware products, and learn through individualized instruction. Mini-workshops are regularly offered and individual consultations are available. A Student Technology Consultant is available most afternoons to assist faculty. You can contact the consultant or make other inquiries about the lab by e-mailing utlc@uncg.edu.

Slide Scanner (For Converting Slides To A Digital Format)
*Scanned documents can be converted to numerous formats, including PDF and MS Word.

PresenterOne will now capture video along with audio narration of PowerPoint presentations. To run PresenterOne you must also install Real Player Basic which is free at http://www.real.com. A basic version of PresenterOne is available for free download from http://forms.real.com/rnforms/products/tools/presenteronebasic/index.html

Keys to unlock Multimedia Equipped Classrooms are available for Faculty to pick up at the Teaching and Learning Center, 61 McIver Building in Media Services. Contact Cathy Rothermel at 334-5310 to check out a key. Faculty may retain their key for an unlimited time, but should return it when they are no longer using it. Teaching Assistants may check out keys for the semester with an option to renew or return them upon receiving email notification from the Library.
There is a $10 non-refundable key replacement fee for all lost keys that must be paid by the borrower before a replacement key can be issued. One key fits all teaching stations.
Training on the multimedia equipment is highly recommended. Please contact Victor Sutton at 334-5324 to schedule a training session or to report any technical problems with the equipment. Call 334-5078 should you need immediate assistance.
Faculty or Campus Organizations must first contact the Registrar's Office to reserve Jarrell Lecture Hall, then please contact Cathy Rothermel at 334-5310 to check out teaching station keys. Students who need to check out Jarrell Lecture Hall keys (or a teaching station key) must obtain written permission on UNCG letterhead from a faculty member or UNCG representative from their affiliated Campus Organization.
