HIPAA AT UNCG

HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, is a complex piece of federal legislation that is having profound affects on the health care industry and on any institution engaged in providing health care services or in human subjects research. Regulations adopted to implement HIPAA's privacy requirements are especially complicated. We have created two powerpoint presentations to help you understand the implications of HIPAA at UNCG. The first presentation deals with HIPAA in general. The second deals specifically with HIPAA as it applies to human subjects research.

If you have any questions please e-mail Skip Capone or Jen Palancia.
