UNCG’s Center for Creative Writing in the Arts commissioned former North Carolina poet laureate Fred Chappell to write a poem in honor of Greenboro’s bicentennial. The poem, structured around four of the city's public parks, was set to music by Eddie Bass and performed by students and faculty from the UNCG School of Music.
