Read some memorable residence hall room descriptions.

The design of our room is more of a unique style. It's a traditional room with a slight hippie twist. The room looks good but yet it was very affordable because we're living on a “poor college kid budget.”
— Lindsey Davis & Kristen Thompson, Ragsdale

When someone steps into our room they feel the presence of serenity and joy. The bright colors, soft carpet and organization leave one with the feeling of home and happiness. We have maximized our space, giving the room an open feel and coordinated colors, making the room feel composed. The room is bright with blues, purples and pinks. Everything has its place, leaving the room clean and organized. To overall sum up what one would call our room, we would have to go with “BUBBLY.”
— Nicole Mayer & Christy Wallace, Mendenhall

The theme of our room is “Pretty in Pink.” Since pink is one of our favorite colors, we decided to decorate our room in something that fits our personalities and something we would feel comfortable in while away from home! Our room is cute, girly, fabulous and a great eye catcher just like us! It's every girl's “dream dorm!”
— Ilka Andrades & Dejerica Heath, Ragsdale

The title/theme of our room is called “Music meets Movies.” It is a representation of both of our loves of unique music and classic movies. We both fused our loves for music & movies with a vivid color pattern of collages and family pictures!
— Megan George & Stephanie Morgan, Hinshaw

South Spencer is our “happy home.” The room combines bright colors, coordinating florals and a soothing atmosphere to create a warm and welcoming abode. When visitors see our room, we often hear “It looks like a real room … in a house!” Our unique personalities are displayed and combined through aspects you would expect in a home, rather than a dorm room.
— Andrea J. Schronce & Alyssa C. Elkins, South Spencer

The focal point of the room is the living area. This is reminiscent of a French bistro-themed breakfast nook. The furniture is used to divide the room into three well-defined living areas: sleeping, studying and entertaining.
— James Dickens & Scott Dauberspeck, South Spencer

The theme of my room is “A Cheetah's dream.” In this room you will find a bold cranberry color accented with tasteful cheetah print. This room is also representative of my personal chic style.
— Kiya Ward, Spring Garden Apartments

The theme of my room is very contemporary. Very clean and modern full of my own original art work. Loaded with color that makes it a great place to come home to after a stressful school day, unwind and relax in comfort created by the color.
— Adam Moser, Spring Garden Apartments

Eclectic. Most college students can't afford to buy many room decorations or purchase them separately with a lot of time in between. My room is a combo of my interests (history & archaeology) mixed in with things I just like or think are pretty, and other things that are just functional.
— Sara Brunkhorst, Spring Garden Apartments

Our theme is metamorphosis/change. Throughout our lives, everything that we have done has led us to this point in our lives — college. In our years of elementary, middle and high school we have been under the shadow and direct supervision of our parents and family members instilling in us what we should know and what to do. But now we are in the metamorphosis of our lives — we are shedding the cocoons of our childhood and are becoming strong and independent adults in a world of uncertainty. Our room is filled with butterflies and flowers showing our growth from our childhood ways of living into adults who are hungry and thirsty after the will of the Lord. Having Bible verses represents our four-year journey of becoming the independent, hardworking, and godly women we were meant to become.
— Megan Allen & Tabatha Hamby, Phillips

Abstract meets chic with an explosion of artistic flavor in our room. Contrasting personalities form together to express individuality through like uses of animations and modern art techniques. The room incorporates obvious themes consisting of Disney characters, Spartan pride, photography and a splash of color.
— Teresita Cherry & Desireé Newbie, Grogan

Our humble abode is rich with warm and cool colors, which are cohesive and intriguing. Our style is tastefully modern and chic. Our room is economical and accessible. It has pizzazz, style and a whole lot of soul!
— Rosalynn Cannon & Jacqui Stubbs, Cone

My room is contemporary, with a new modern feel at the same time. I am representing a “typical” college dorm room with a clean, sophisticated “sports” look to it. Blue is the main color in my room (light & dark blue).
— Jeremy Brown, Cone

Our room is unique to the fullest. You will have to see it to believe it.
— Jessica Fields & Chelsea McMasters, Reynolds

Our room is simply chic for the fashionable college girl, where comfort meets a delightful and preppy style.
— Heather Lincoln & Jessica Flanagan, Bailey
