Music. Food. Balloons. Games. Vendors. Crowds of joyful people. What would fall be without the Tate Street Festival? What started in the mid-1970s is now an annual (sometimes biannual) tradition that brings the community out to celebrate all that is unique about Tate Street. In the 2003 photo below, young and old alike enjoy the festivities, including hula hoops and balloon hats.
What do you remember about hanging out on Tate Street when you were a student? What were your favorite shops? Do you have any stand-out memories from past festivals?
