December 2007
Things are taking shape.
The Alumni House, which closed for renovations last spring, is nearly 60 percent complete. Wiring is done, drywall has gone up and some rooms have been reconfigured. By the time the house reopens in the fall, the grand old lady will be back in her prime.

While it might not look like it's 60 percent complete, the structural work at the Alumni House is well under way. Here, the ceiling lies in pieces on the floor to make way for the new.
In the meantime, funds are still being raised for some of the cosmetic work such as new drapes or reupholstered furniture. Additionally, the UNCG Alumni Association is seeking extra funding to build the endowment for house maintenance. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the house will be enjoyed for generations to come.
Those who give $1,000 or more will have their names listed on a donor wall inside the Alumni House.
