Thanks

In this season of giving thanks for all the good things in our lives, we want to say a sincere thank you to all of you.

For those of you who have given money to the UNCG Students First Campaign — whether $4 or $4 million — thank you. More than 57 percent of the gifts to the campaign have come from alumni. Did you know that your contributions have already created 127 undergraduate scholarships and 26 graduate scholarships? Did you know that because of you we have created 129 new programs? All gifts, from the smallest to the largest, are making a difference in the lives of our students and the culture of this campus.

For those of you who have given an equally precious resource — time, thank you. So many of you have served countless hours guiding the university at board meetings, heading up class reunions or twirling cotton candy at FallFest. Your service is invaluable.

For those of you who have spoken fondly of your alma mater or encouraged a young, promising student to apply to the university, thank you. Even the simplest acts have impacts you could never imagine.

Thank you for all you do for UNCG. In the years ahead, we hope you will continue to support the university and make a difference in the lives of students yet to come.
