Saturday service

This isn't your run-of-the-mill Founders Day.

This year, the entire UNCG community — alumni, students, faculty and staff — are invited to participate in a day of service on Saturday, Oct. 6. What better way to mark our origins than by living the university's motto of service?

Participants will have opportunities to assist the Jamestown Rotary with their annual horse show and help clear trails at the HorsePower Therapeutic Learning Center. No experience with horses is required.

Just arrive at the Walker Avenue parking deck at 7:30 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts. Shuttles will transport you to HorsePower. After a full morning of service, have lunch on UNCG and then ride the shuttles back to campus at 1 p.m.
