February 2008
It's winter, and the dream of escaping to exotic, faraway lands beckons.
The UNCG Alumni Association has two trips planned for the fall. If images of rolling hills, vineyards and shimmering olive groves spark your imagination, then you may want to consider a trip to Tuscany, Aug. 31 through Sept. 8.
With this trip, alumni will spend seven nights in the Villa Borgo di Cortefreda in the small hilltop village of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. Excursions to Florence, Siena and the Chianti region will give travelers a taste of art and architecture as well as history and culture.
A little later in the month, another trip this time to China with a Yangtze River cruise will bring images of Asia to life. Explore Beijing, the Great Wall, Xi'an, Fengdu and Shanghai. See Peking Opera and the Shanghai Acrobatic Theater. Dates for this trip are Sept. 24 through Oct. 6.
