To you, going to a basketball game might simply mean enjoying an evening out. But to students, it means so much more.
Alumni attendance at athletic events says to athletes, we believe in you, and we're cheering for you. To the campus community, it says we believe in UNCG and think our athletics program is on the cusp of something wonderful.
With the effort to ramp up athletics at UNCG, we have a tremendous opportunity to enhance our students' lives and their UNCG experience, said Linda Carter, executive director of the Alumni Association. One of the greatest things our alumni and community can give to our student body is the rallying support of our student athletes. The positive spirit is contagious.
So make the commitment to go to at least one game. It's a tangible act of support for our athletes, our students and our university. No matter what the scoreboard says, everyone wins.
