Branching out

Get into the holiday spirit by helping the needy with Branches of Love.

Sponsored by the Student Alumni Ambassadors, Branches of Love is a free annual event. Teams decorate holiday trees which are then given away to needy families in the UNCG and Greensboro community.

This year the competition will take place Saturday, Dec. 5, 2-4 p.m. in the Alumni House.

You can help in a number of ways.

Round up a team and decorate a tree. Applications are available until Nov. 20 in the Alumni Relations Office in the Alumni House or email saa.uncg@gmail.com.

Consider donating unbreakable ornaments and decorations for the trees. Or give canned food and winter clothing for the families.

Best of all, come out and cheer the teams on. It promises to be a fun afternoon with refreshments, live music and lots of holiday cheer.
