Journey to emancipation

Last year marked the 200th birthday of one of the most memorable U.S. presidents — Abraham Lincoln. This year, UNCG is the site of a traveling exhibition which traces Lincoln's gradual transformation from an antislavery moderate into “The Great Emancipator.” Read more about events you can attend this spring as part of the exhibition.

Seeking internships

Maybe you had an internship when you were a student. Now you can return the favor. The African American Studies program is seeking opportunities to for its students to gain practical experience at sites serving populations of people of African descent. Read more about how you can help.

Getting Reunion ready

When alumni return to campus this April, they can expect some of the traditional trappings of Reunion (Grand Reunion luncheon, anyone?) as well as some new twists on old favorites (remember photo booths?). Read more about what’s in store for alumni April 16-17.
