Save the date (and change the name)

While many of us are dreaming of the beach, don't forget fall has its advantages – such as UNCG’s favorite party.

Known as FallFest for the last several years, the festival is undergoing a name change. It's now officially Homecoming.

The name might be different but the fun will be all the same. You can look forward to live music, inflatables, games for the kids, a pep rally and parade, topped off with the homecoming soccer game against Wake Forest.

So circle Sept. 20-25 on your calendar, talk it up with your friends and start gathering your blue and gold for Homecoming.

Here’s a brief overview of what’s in store:

• Sept. 20 – Founders Day Celebration, Randall Jarrell Poetry Competition, Student Cake Decorating Contest, Campus Tours
• Sept. 24 – Bryan School Alumni Reception and the “not-to-be missed” alumni-student Rugby game
• Sept. 25 – Reunion Gatherings for UNCG classes ending in 0 and 5 (and that includes our brand new grads from the Class of 2010!), Greek Alumni Reunion, Russian Studies Reunion, Children’s Festival, Family Weekend, Spartan Village, UNCG vs. WFU Men’s Soccer, Step Show and ending with the All-Black (attire) Party at the Lotus Lounge.
