Sometimes you just never know when an adventure awaits. Sometimes it can be as simple as a weekend away.
The Alumni Association is considering a series of domestic tours, arranged with the help of Weezie Glascock ’62 of A Way to Go Travel.
Perhaps you’d like to visit the North Carolina mountains. Enjoy the Big Apple. Take a train ride to Yellowstone National Park. Or even add a trip to your Reunion weekend activities, visiting Yadkin Valley wineries and spending a day at the N.C. Museum of Art.
You could travel with other families with children or adults only. Or plan a getaway that highlights your hobbies – whether it’s gardening, fishing, antiquing or fine dining.
The possibilities are endless. And that’s why the Alumni Association folks would like your help.
Take a few minutes to answer a short eight-question survey about your travel interests. Then look for a slate of travel options in the September e-newsletter and on the UNCG Alumni Association web site.
The best part – these travel groups, no larger than 30 people, will be limited to UNCG alumni and their family members and guests. So have fun exploring North Carolina and other parts of the United States while getting to know others who know exactly what you mean when you talk about Yum Yum or The Corner.
“We would like to begin a UNCG travel tradition,” said Linda Carter, executive director of the UNCG Alumni Association. “We just need alumni to tell us what they’re thinking.”
