October 2010
With the holidays approaching, now is a good time to plan a spring getaway.
Based on responses to a survey about alumni travel interests, the first Alumni Association-sponsored trip is a spring fling in Savannah, Ga., March 23-26.
Highlights of the trip include a historic Savannah walking tour, a day of home and garden walking tours, a foodie tour, lunch at Paula Deen's restaurant, a visit to the Telfair Museum and historic Owens Thomas House, shopping, dinners with wine and an option to enjoy Savannah Music Festival events.
Tour participants will stay at the Four Points Sheraton, located in Savannah’s historic district.
Cost is $675 per person based on double occupancy and $865 per person based on single occupancy. Bus transportation from Greensboro, based on having 30 participants, is $160.
Because the tour involves a heavy amount of walking, it is not recommended for those with mobility issues.
