Things to look forward to in April: longer days, springtime weather and the Woman's College Reunion. If you haven't made plans to attend the April 7-9 Reunion, there's still time to register. Look at what's in store.
Women from the Class of 1961 will celebrate their 50th reunion with an artistic flair. One alumna has designed and constructed a beaded circle for each classmate which can be worn on a necklace. Three other classmates are working on a quilt to be auctioned during Reunion, with proceeds benefiting the class gift.
Heather Ross Miller '61 and Emily Herring Wilson '61 will do a reading from their published works on Friday evening. Earlier in the day, the class will hold a bench and garden dedication in the Quad in memory of one of their deceased classmates.
Special events are in store for other class years as well. The Classes of 1941, 1946, 1951, 1956 and 1966 are invited to take in music, theatre and dance classes, check out the new School of Education Building, discover the secret gardens of UNCG and celebrate the Weatherspoon Art Museum's 70th birthday.
