During my short nine-month tenure as UNC President, we've already allocated over $400 million in new permanent budget cuts, dealt with the aftermath of a hurricane, experienced an earthquake, for heaven's sake, and faced more than our share of controversial and contentious issuesand we have done so always in the public eye.
