The new Spartan Legislative Network (SLN) is designed to pull together people to promote the value of UNCG and public higher education to North Carolina elected officials. The network's mission is to uphold, maintain and strengthen UNCG as one of the flagship institutions of The University of North Carolina system.
Members of the Spartan Legislative Network will never be asked to pay dues and never be required to attend meetings, said Michael Garrett '07, president-elect of the association.

It is imperative that a strong network of well-informed, respected alumni and friends use this opportunity to advocate for UNCG, said Linda Carter, executive director of the UNCG Alumni Association.
The SLN has directly invited more than 900 people to join the network, but anyone who would like to promote the interests of UNCG alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and other friends can participate. Visit spartanadvocacy.info.
