December 2012
The UNCG alumni family just got a little larger. UNCG's December 2012 commencement ceremony took place this morning, Dec. 13, and honored August and December graduates.
Who are these newly minted UNCG alumni? Here's a quick rundown, by the numbers:
The commencement ceremony began this morning at 10 a.m. in the Greensboro Coliseum. Dr. Heather Helms from the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, who was named the 2011-12 Senior Faculty Teaching Excellence Professor, delivered the commencement address.
Dr. Daniel Winkler, a faculty member in the Bryan School of Business and Economics, served as faculty marshal and mace bearer. Denisha Champion, PhD candidate, spoke for the Class of 2012, and Jacob Leonard was the ceremonial tassel turner. Kimberly Daye, the first to finish the UNCG in 3 program, rang the university bell for the Class of 2012. Daye earned her degree in two and a half years. Margaret Weezie Norwood Glascock, Class of 1962, joined Daye as alumni bell ringer.
We wish the entire Class of 2012 the very best in the future.
