Career Services on campus is looking for alumni to work with students as they start thinking about next steps.
Students want to hear back from those who have been there, done that and to understand what the real career situation is like in industry and career functions, says Dr. Patrick Madsen in Career Services.
Some ways you can help:
Present on Campus: Alumni are the best resource when it comes to the real information about careers, industries and how to succeed. Alumni can share their experiences either through a web interview or on campus. Professional Coaching Program: Share your time during the year to conduct resume reviews and mock interviews or give advice to students. Contact Dr. Patrick Madsen at email@example.com for more information or to schedule a time to coach students.

Host a Student Group: Students are always interested in visiting a company's site for possible tours, meetings with key professionals and opportunities to learn more about job functions and careers. Contact the Employer Relations Team at email@example.com.
Job Shadowing Program: This program, scheduled once a year, lasts up to one week. Students will be partnered with program employers who will design a shadowing experience that will both promote their industry as well as provide real life information to students about potential careers.
