The official University logos serve the same purpose as a trademark — to build visual identity in the minds of constituents through a uniform and recurrent presentation.
Members of the UNCG family — faculty, staff and students — are welcome to download the graphic symbols for official University applications. Display the logos prominently on promotional materials, including printed works (brochures, booklets, newsletters, advertisements, etc.) and electronic media (web pages, videotapes, CD-ROMs, etc.). Their use is encouraged, but not required, on instructional materials.
The symbols give proprietary identification to The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. They are restricted to use by recognized entities of the University.

Atheletics Family Logo

Spartan Logo Family

The Spartan logos are used primarily, but not exclusively, by the Intercollegiate Athletics program at UNCG. These marks should be reserved for applications that have some association with the sports program or student interests. They are not public identifiers for the greater University, as is the Minerva Identity Program.

University Seal

University Seal

The University Seal is reserved for formal academic ceremonies, legal applications, diplomas and official certificates. The seal is not a communications mark for identifying the University; that is the job of the Minerva Identity Program.
