The UNCG
International Students Association (ISA) and The International
Programs Center (IPC) invite the community to attend
the 23rd annual International Festival Saturday, April
16.
The free,
outdoor event will be held from noon to 5 p.m. by
the Fountain outside the Dining Hall.
Affectionately known as “I-Fest,” the
festival is held to promote cultural awareness and
appreciation through music, food, crafts, demonstrations
and entertainment from across the globe. The International
Festival will be a learning opportunity for all who
attend, a chance to experience the diverse world in
which we live. Visitors will be able to see, smell,
and taste international culture.
This year, nearly 40 booths will dot the lawn of the
Fountain area with live entertainment throughout the
afternoon from different cultures, including Latin
American, Middle Eastern, Greek, Chinese, African,
Indian, and more.
Community groups, restaurants, and/or entertainers
are invited to host a booth, offer a taste of another
country, a cultural display, a musical and dance performance,
or simply an informational exhibit. For more information,
contact the International Programs Center at (336)
334-5404.
