Eileen Kohlenberg has been elected president-elect of the North Carolina Nurses Association.
The North Carolina Nurses Association has elected Dr. Eileen Kohlenberg president-elect.
Kohlenberg is associate professor, associate dean, and director of graduate study at UNCG School of Nursing. She was elected in Raleigh last week by the membership of the NCNA, the leading professional organization for nurses across the state of North Carolina. She will serve two-year terms as president-elect and as president.
In addition to her duties as associate professor and associate dean, Kohlenberg was instrumental in developing and setting up the School of Nursing’s doctoral program, which began this year. She has also served as chair of the UNCG faculty senate and currently serves as its ex-officio member. She holds M.S.N. and Ph.D. degrees in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin.
