UNCG is one of the 100 best values among public, four-year colleges and universities in the United States, according to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
UNCG was ranked 75th and joined on the list by five other UNC system institutions: UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, UNC Wilmington, Appalachian State University and UNC Asheville.
The magazine analyzed data from more than 500 colleges and universities to compile the rankings. The rankings, published in the magazine’s Jan. 10 edition, considered cost, financial aid, SAT scores, admission rates, freshman retention rates, student-faculty ratios and graduation rates.
The annual cost of attending UNCG, including tuition, fees, room, board and books, is about $9,575 for North Carolina residents.
