Gamma Zeta, the local chapter of the international nursing honor society Sigma Theta Tau, recently honored four faculty members in the UNCG School of Nursing.
The awards, presented by chairwoman of the Parent-Child Department and Eloise R. Lewis Excellence Professor Dr. Hazel Brown, are:
• Dr. Robin Bartlett, assistant professor, the Excellence in Nursing Leadership award for her service to Gamma Zeta and for her work on the School of Nursing Curriculum Committee.
• Dr. Jie Hu, assistant professor, the Excellence in Nursing Research Award for her work on the quality of life of older adults with chronic illnesses.
• Jane Lutz, clinical associate professor, the Excellence in Nursing Practice Award. In addition to her teaching position at UNCG, she volunteers in the School of Nursing Health Center in Hampton Homes.
• Dr. Eileen Rossen, assistant professor, the Excellence in Nursing Education Award for her creativity in student assignments.
