UNCG Hosts Editor’s Roundtable March 16

Fiction editor Kathy Pories will hold an editor's roundtable on March 16 at the Faculty Center.

An editor who has worked with some of the region’s top authors will bring her expertise to UNCG.

Kathy Pories will host an editor’s roundtable 7 p.m. March 16 in the Faculty Center on College Avenue. Sponsored by the MFA Writing Program and The Greensboro Review, the event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.

A senior editor at Algonquin Books, Pories edits fiction and other creative writing. She has worked with authors Daniel Wallace, Michael Parker, Robert Olmstead, Steve Almond, Julianna Baggott, Wendy Brenner and others. In addition to her work with individual authors, she also works on anthologies, including the forthcoming “Love Poetry Out Loud.” She is series editor for “New Stories from the South,” and editor of the magazine “The Algonkian.” She holds a BA and PhD in English literature from UNC-Chapel Hill.
