UNCG will host a reading by novelist Craig Nova.
Sponsored by the MFA Writing Program and the class of 1949, the reading will begin at 8 p.m. April 6 in the Meade Auditorium of the Science Building on McIver. The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception and book signing.
Nova is celebrating the paperback release of his novel “The Good Son,” an acclaimed story of a wealthy war hero returning home to upper crust society.
Nova holds the Class of 1949 Distinguished Professorship of the Humanities at UNCG, and is the award-winning author of 11 novels. His writing also has appeared in Esquire, The Paris Review, The New York Times Magazine and Men’s Journal. He has been interviewed by numerous outlets, including the online magazine Salon. He has received an Award in Literature from the American Academy Institute of Arts and Letters and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He teaches in the MFA Writing Program and lives in Hillsborough and Vermont.
