The Bob and Weave

UNCG will host a reading by poet Jim Peterson at 8 p.m. March 27 in the McIver Building Auditorium.

The event, sponsored by the MFA Writing Program and the Greensboro Review, is free, open to the public, and followed by a reception and book signing. The McIver Building Auditorium is room 028.

Peterson is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently “The Bob and Weave.” His fourth book of poetry, “The Owning Stone,” won the Benjamin Saltman Award and, in 2003, he was awarded a Poetry Fellowship by the Virginia Arts Commission. His poems have appeared in journals such as Poetry, Georgia Review, Shenandoah, and the Greensboro Review. His first novel, “Paper Crown,” was published in 2005.

Currently coordinator of Creative Writing at Randolph-Macon Women’s College, Peterson lives in Lynchburg, Va., with his wife, Harriet, and their Welsh Corgi, which is named after Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
