Karin Baumgartner, assistant professor of German, has been awarded the prestigious Max Kade Research Award for best article in the field of modern Austrian literature and culture.
She received the award for her 2005 publication entitled “Staging the German Nation: Caroline Pichler’s Heinrich von Hohenstaufen and Ferdinand II.” Professor Baumgartner is currently on a Fulbright scholarship assignment at Paderborn University in Germany.
