The UNCG School of Nursing has announced inductees into one of the largest nursing organizations in the world.

Dr. Billye Brown, former president of Sigma Theta Tau International addressed the inductees, their families, friends, and faculty.
Founded in 1922 at the Indiana University Training School for Nurses in Indianapolis, Sigma Theta Tau is the only international honor society of nursing and the second largest individual member nursing organization in the world with more than 200,000 members and chapters in 359 colleges and universities in over 90 countries and territories. Membership is by invitation only to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing. The mission of the Honor Society of Nursing is to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide.
The UNCG chapter, Gamma Zeta, was chartered in 1976. Nearly 2,000 members have been inducted into the local chapter.
