Davis-Gardner's first novel was "Plum Wine."
GREENSBORO, NC – Novelist, short story writer, and essayist Angela Davis-Gardner will read Nov. 30 at her alma mater, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
The reading, hosted by the MFA Writing Program and The Greensboro Review, will begin at 8 p.m. in the UNCG Faculty Center on College Avenue. It is free and open to the public. A reception and book signing will follow.
A graduate of the MFA Writing Program, Davis-Gardner is the author of the first story published in the first issue of The Greensboro Review. She has since gone on to publish three novels, “Plum Wine,” “Felice” and “Forms of Shelter.” Her short stories and personal essays have appeared in numerous literary magazines including Cream City Review, Great River Review, and Shenandoah as well as in the anthology “Between Friends: Writing Women Celebrate Friendship.”
She is currently a professor of creative writing at N.C. State University.
