GREENSBORO– Move over “Project Runway.” On Saturday, Dec. 9, 20 models and three bands will rock the house as part of “Style in Stereo,” a fashion/rock show sponsored by WUAG 103.1, the student-run radio station at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The event, which is a fundraiser for WUAG, will take place at 8 p.m. at The Flying Anvil, 219 W. Lewis St. in downtown Greensboro. Admission is $7.
Models from UNCG will hit the runway in outfits created by student designers that will be shown in conjunction with three sets of live music by local bands.
Three lines of student-designed clothing will be presented. The themes are: natural disasters, Carnivale and bed wear, with students creating outfits out of pillows and sheets. Musical acts will be folk rockers Health, jazz-influenced pop by The Royal Sun and hip hop artist and DJ Nicolay from the Netherlands.
