GREENSBORO, NC – Mac Nelson, cello music cataloger at the UNCG Libraries, has been chosen by the American Library Association to participate in its Emerging Leaders Program. He is the only person to be selected for the program from North Carolina.
The program was started to prepare 100 new librarians for ALA and professional leadership. Nelson was nominated and sponsored by the North Carolina Library Association for his depth of knowledge and awareness of library issues, leadership potential, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and commitment to the profession and to library services at UNCG.
