GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNCG will host a discussion of U.S. Congressional election results Nov. 14.
Dr. Paul Herrnson, director of the Center for American Politics and Citizenship at the University of Maryland, will discuss “Winners, Losers … and Voters” beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Weatherspoon Art Museum Auditorium. A light dessert reception will follow.
Herrnson, who has authored numerous books and articles on elections and voting, has served as an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow. He has advised the U.S. Congress, the Maryland General Assembly, the Federal Election Commission and the State of Maryland Commission to Revise the Election Code on matters pertaining to campaign finance and political parties.
Herrnson’s visit marks the conclusion of the free, public series “Elections 2006: Change, Continuity or Ambiguity?” sponsored by the Department of Political Science and the Center for Legislative Studies. Free parking is available off Tate Street behind the museum.
