Come out to UNCG Sept. 30 to celebrate the gift of children.
The UNCG School of Education and the N.C. Teaching Fellows are sponsoring the 18th Annual Children’s Festival & Health Celebration, which runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The festival, free and open to the public, will take place in the Residential Quad at Walker Avenue and West Drive on campus. Free parking will be available in the Walker Avenue Parking Deck.
Families can take part in more than 90 educational activities, arts and crafts, and gather information about community services available to keep children healthy and safe. Everyone can enjoy a stilt walking balloon man, a covered wagon ride, a petting zoo and performances by the N.C. Theatre for Young People, the Neo-Black Society Choir, the Spartan Heat Drumline and the UNCG Cheerleaders.
Additional events will continue throughout the day in conjunction with UNCG’s annual FallFest. For more information, contact Ginger Parnell in the School of Education at (336) 334-3923.
