Novelist John McNally will read at UNCG Oct. 12, 2006.

McNally’s visit, sponsored by The MFA Writing Program and The Greensboro Review, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Faculty Center on College Avenue. The event is free and open to the public, and a reception and book signing will follow.

McNally is the author of the novels “America’s Report Card” and “The Book of Ralph” as well as “Troublemakers,” a collection of stories. He has received a Chesterfield screenwriting fellowship and a Thomas Williams Fellowship in Fiction. His work appears in a variety of journals, magazines and newspapers including Virginia Quarterly Review, New England Review, The Washington Post and The Chicago Tribune.

McNally studied at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, The Iowa Writers’ Workshop and The University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is an associate professor of English at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, where he and his wife live.
