GREENSBORO, N.C. – A seven-part discussion and lecture series on topics ranging from global warming to endangered children will be offered by the Center for Global Business Education and Research at the Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNCG.
The series, titled “America in the Global Economy,” will be held on consecutive Thursdays at 6:30 p.m, from March 15 to April 26 at the Bryan School.
Cost for the entire series is $30. MBA course credit also is available at no extra charge. Pre-registration for both the lectures and the MBA course is required. To register for the series or for further information, contact Rodney Ouzts at (336) 334-4346, or via email at rmouzts@uncg.edu.
The series is sponsored nationally by the Foreign Policy Association and will be led by Dr. Riad Ajami, director of the Center and the Charles A. Hayes Distinguished Professor of Business at the Bryan School.

March 15: “Climate Change and Global Warming” - Dr. Jay Lennartson, assistant professor, UNCG Department of Geography.
March 22: “International Migration in a Globalizing Economy” - Dr. Gordon Bennett, professor, UNCG Department of Geography.
March 29: “Central Asia: Three Power Resource Rivalry”- Dr. Riad Ajami, Charles A. Hayes Distinguished Professor of Economics, Bryan School.
April 5: “The U.S. in the Middle East”- Dr. Charles Kennedy, professor, Department of Political Science, Wake Forest University.
April 12: “South Africa: Facing New Challenges”- Dr. Robert Anderson, associate professor, Department of Political Science, Elon University.
April 19: “The World Endangered Children”- Mary Lynn Briddell, Patient Care Director Oncology/Infusion Therapy, Virginia Hospital Center.
April 26: Series Wrap Up.
