UNCG Hosts Poetry Reading by Christine Garren Feb. 15

GREENSBORO, NC – UNCG will host a poetry reading by Christine Garren Thursday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. in the Faculty Center on College Avenue.

The event, sponsored by the MFA Writing Program and The Greensboro Review, celebrates the release of Garren’s latest collection, “The Piercing.” It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception and a book signing.

A graduate of the MFA program, Garren is also the author of “Afterworld” and “Among the Monarchs.” Her poems appear in a variety of journals and magazines including The Greensboro Review, Chicago Review, Poetry and Ploughshares.

Garren was born in Philadelphia and currently lives in Greensboro.
