Financial Gerontologist Neal E. Cutler Becomes TIAA-CREF Institute Fellow

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Dr. Neal E. Cutler, associate director of the Gerontology Program has been selected to become a TIAA-CREF Institute Fellow.

He is one of only 68 fellows in the program. Membership is restricted to nationally prominent scholars with research interests in pension planning, retirement decision-making, health insurance and financial education.

Cutler is coordinator of the UNCG annual Aging is Good Business Summit, whose 2007 theme is "Residential Choices and the Boomers Coming of Age." The event will take place Wednesday, April 11, at UNCG.

Cutler is the author “Advising Mature Clients: The New Science of Wealth Span Planning,” and senior editor of the “Encyclopedia of Financial Gerontology.” Previously, he was associate director of the Andrus Gerontology Center’s Institute for Advanced Study in Gerontology and Geriatrics at the University of Southern California and a senior staff member of the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging in Washington D.C

The TIAA-CREF Institute is part of TIAA-CREF, a national financial services group of companies providing retirement services in academic, research, medical and cultural fields.
