GREENSBORO, NC – A trio of exhibitions sponsored by the Department of Art is currently on display at the university and in Greensboro.
Recent works by UNCG art faculty members will be on view in the Falk and Tannenbaum Galleries at the Weatherspoon Art Museum as part of the 2007 biennial exhibition. The works highlight the diverse media and conceptual approaches pursued by the faculty. Offerings include painting, sculpture, collage, photography and video by 20 faculty members.
Among the video installations are Chris Cassidy’s “The Isthmus of Kansas,” which collapses aerial views of the U.S. to only the east and west coasts. The exhibition will run until Sunday, Dec. 9.
The Gatewood Gallery in the Maud Gatewood Studio Arts Building will feature the 2007 juried undergraduate exhibition until Friday, Nov. 2.
Works by current and recent UNCG MFA recipients are being shown in the atrium of the headquarters of Weaver Cooke Construction in Greensboro until Thursday, Nov. 8.
All exhibits are open to the public at no charge.
