GREENSBORO, NC-- Jillian Weise, author of the unique new poetry collection “The Amputee’s Guide to Sex,” will read Nov. 1 at UNCG.
The reading, sponsored by the Center for Creative Writing in the Arts, the MFA Writing Program and The Greensboro Review, begins at 5 p.m. in the Faculty Center on College Avenue. It is free and open to the public, and a reception and book signing will follow.
A graduate of the MFA Writing Program, Weise authored another recent collection, “Translating the Body.” Her poems have appeared in a variety of journals and magazines, including The Atlantic, Chelsea and Tin House.
A former Alan Dugan Writing Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Mass., she is now a fellow at the University of Cincinnati.
