GREENSBORO, NC-- Poet Stuart Dischell will read from his just-published collection “Backwards Days” Thursday, Sept. 27, at UNCG.
The Center for Creative Writing in the Arts and the MFA Writing Program are sponsoring the reading, which begins at 8 p.m. in the Faculty Center. It is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception and book signing.
Dischell is the author of three earlier poetry collections, “Good Hope Road,” “Evenings & Avenues” and “Dig Safe.” He has won honors and awards from the National Poetry Series, the National Endowment for the Arts, the North Carolina Arts Council, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and others. His work appears in a number of journals and anthologies, including “Good Poems,” “Hammer and Blaze” and “Pushcart Prize.”
Dischell teaches in the MFA Writing Program.
