GREENSBORO, N.C. – Fifty-eight students from the Bryan School of Business and Economics were inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma national honor society on Monday, April 7.
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is a national honor society for business students. Qualifying for membership is the highest scholastic honor a student in business can obtain. To be eligible, students must rank in the upper ten percent of their junior class, the upper ten percent of their senior class or the upper twenty percent of their graduate class.
Students who receive a BGS award must attend schools that are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Membership in BGS is open to students in all departments of the Bryan School with the exception of those earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics.
Two members of the Bryan School faculty were also inducted. Faculty can join BGS if they have earned a doctorate from an AACSB-accredited business school or if they have been with the Bryan School for six years or more.
